There are two winners for the June SW Legion Contest.\u00c2\u00a0 The official winner (Sandeep Pawar<\/a>)\u00c2\u00a0and the unofficial winner (per the unstated and unofficial though originally intended rules) is Arash Erfanian.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Three individuals produced verifiable scalene<\/font><\/strong><\/a> ellipsoids with only three elements.\u00c2\u00a0 One individual used two sketches and one feature (3 elements total).\u00c2\u00a0 Two other individuals used one sketch and two features (also 3 elements total).\u00c2\u00a0 These made cleaver use of the scale feature.\u00c2\u00a0 After a suprizingly\u00c2\u00a0quick game of email roshambo, Arash came out on top, earning himself a CSWSP-FEA test.\u00c2\u00a0 Congrats to Arash.\u00c2\u00a0 He knows his scalene ellipsoids, and he knows how to play a mean game of roshambo.<\/p>\n

As mentioned before, I received 11 submissions.\u00c2\u00a0 One submission was of a model that only had one 3D sketch and one feature (2 elements).\u00c2\u00a0 However, I was not able to confirm\u00c2\u00a0its scaleneness.\u00c2\u00a0 The solution was cleaver though;\u00c2\u00a0leave it to Matt Lombard to come up with such a simple approximation.\u00c2\u00a0 One of the other submissions was a surface model (not solid).\u00c2\u00a0 Unfortunately, it had more elements than the solid model submissions.<\/p>\n

I don’t have access to the submissions at this moment.\u00c2\u00a0 When I do, I will go into further details about how everyone accomplished the goal.\u00c2\u00a0 I am not amazed by the variety of submissions.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 I was surprizes at some of the methods employed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
