Auxiliary view functionality has now been expanded to follow several international standards more closely. \u00a0When an auxiliary view is created at a nonorthographic angle, the standards specify that the view should be rotated into an orthographic direction. \u00a0To account for the change in alignment, ASME and GOST standards specify the addition of a rotation symbol that may also include the actual angle of rotation. \u00a0SolidWorks now supports these requirements.<\/p>\n

\"Auxiliary<\/p>\n

To set an auxiliary view to orthographic rotation for the example above:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Right-click on the auxiliary drawing view.<\/li>\n
  2. Select Align Drawing View<\/em>, then Horizontal to Sheet Counterclockwise<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    \"Selection\r\nSelect Align Drawing View and rotation direction\r\n.<\/span><\/pre>\n
    \"Rotated<\/pre>\n
    The view is rotated. \u00a0Angle symbol and degrees is added to the view label<\/span><\/p>\n
    If center marks are in the view, they can be rotated by selecting them and entering o (zero) in the Angle<\/em> group box in their PropertyManager.<\/p>\n
    The display of the angle can be adjusted in the Document Properties under Tools<\/em>>Options…<\/em>>Document Properties<\/em>>Views<\/em>>Auxiliary<\/em> in the Label options<\/em> area.<\/p>\n
    \"View<\/p>\n
    These options and capabilities are also available for Section Views with the same instructions as above.<\/p>\n
    Also, these options are available regardless to standards. \u00a0However, GOST standard does has special symbols. \u00a0All rotation symbols are also available in the new Views symbol library<\/a>\u00a0category.<\/p>\n
