{"id":4775,"date":"2013-12-19T16:09:16","date_gmt":"2013-12-19T20:09:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fcsuper.com\/swblog\/?p=4775"},"modified":"2015-02-02T13:48:21","modified_gmt":"2015-02-02T17:48:21","slug":"preparing-for-the-solidworks-certification-exams-version-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fcsuper.com\/swblog\/?p=4775","title":{"rendered":"Preparing for the SolidWorks Certification exams (version 2)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"seriesmeta\">This entry is part 2 of 5 in the series <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fcsuper.com\/swblog\/?series=solidworks-certification\" class=\"series-1537\" title=\"SOLIDWORKS Certification\">SOLIDWORKS Certification<\/a><\/div><p><a href=\"https:\/\/solidworks.virtualtester.com\/#home_button\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-4803\" style=\"margin: 2px 4px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.fcsuper.com\/swblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/12-19-2013-4-27-57-PM.png?resize=169%2C104\" alt=\"Certificate on the shelf\" width=\"169\" height=\"104\" \/><\/a>There continues to be\u00a0a lot of interest in getting certified as SolidWorks Expert (CSWE).\u00a0 Through there are no official accolades that go long with passing the CSWE, the certificate can garner employer and industry recognition of your established skills.\u00a0 Even as the number of Certified SolidWorks Professional grows (CSWP), the number of those with the higher CSWE certification is still small by comparison.\u00a0 Right now, there&#8217;s just over 1500 CSWEs.\u00a0 To earn your opportunity to take the CSWE exam, you have to pass the CSWP and also pass four advanced exam modules from a selection including topics like Weldments, Surfacing, FEA, etc.<\/p>\n<p><em>Applian Way Technologies<\/em> has a blog with <a title=\"SolidWorks specialty exams\" href=\"http:\/\/www.appianwaytech.com\/blog\/?s=sw+specialty&amp;search=Search\">several articles<\/a> that are brief preparation guides for various exam modules. <em>A Very Swell Idea, Inc<\/em> has some good advice for taking the modules in <a title=\"CSWP Advanced Weldments Specialist\" href=\"http:\/\/averyswellidea.com\/2010\/01\/06\/cswp-advanced-weldments-specialist\/\">their discussion of CSWP Weldment exam<\/a>. <em>3D Dimensional Engineer<\/em> also has a great series on <a title=\"CSWP Preparation\" href=\"http:\/\/www.3dengr.com\/2009\/10\/cswp-preparation.html\">CSWP Preparation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>SolidWorks website itself has great information for each exam, including the core, advanced\u00a0and the expert exams.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"CSWA\" href=\"http:\/\/www.solidworks.com\/sw\/support\/796_ENU_HTML.htm\">CSWA<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; Certified SolidWorks Associate<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"CSWA -
