Excited to learn about MBD! <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MusicCityTTM\">@MusicCityTTM<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SWSuper\">@SWSuper<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SWUGN\">@SWUGN<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/t.co\/uOtx9pfaqu\">pic.twitter.com\/uOtx9pfaqu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rudy Ottway (@rudyredhead) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/rudyredhead\/status\/587756737521971200\">April 13, 2015<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\n<\/center><\/p>\n<p>My presentation gave a general overview about <a title=\"Model  Based Definition Wikipedia article\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Model-based_definition\">Model Based Definition<\/a>, how to apply it within SOLIDWORKS today. \u00a0My presentation also covered the new <a title=\"SOLIDWORKS MBD\" href=\"http:\/\/www.solidworks.com\/sw\/products\/technical-communication\/solidworks-mbd.htm\">SOLIDWORKS MBD<\/a> product that will streamline MBD processes within SOLIDWORKS and provide an output in the form of a 3D PDF for non-CAD consumption. \u00a0Attendees asked a lot of great questions about Model Based Definition and Geometry Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&amp;T and the industry adoption thereof). \u00a0Adoption of MBD is being driving the release of the\u00a0<a title=\"MIL-STD-31000\" href=\"http:\/\/model-based-enterprise.org\/Docs\/MIL-STD-31000A%20released%20on%20ASSIST%203%2013%202013.pdf\">MIL-STD-31000 <\/a>standard and the desire by industry to reduce cost of product definition, revisions and design communication.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I made my first trip to Nashville, TN this past week! \u00a0Thank you to the Nashville SolidWorks User Group (NSWG) for hosting me. \u00a0 While in town, I did have a couple hours of free time to check out the Grand Ole Opry Convention Center.
